Here in KSA, the winter season feels like spring weather some places in the states. The temperature is warm and it is dry, ranging from 50-80 degress with a slight breeze. That's why I love this kind of outfit. Bare legs, but I can add a blazer depending on how it feels outside. For this weather, I matched it with yellow. For me, nothing says "springtime" like this yellow skirt :).

I wore this outfit out to a meeting last week to a fancy location where I didn't have to wear an abaya. I say fancy because the meeting was with a high level person at my husbands work. The meeting was intended for family members. With my surprise, some of the other ladies in the meeting were wearing jeans... I think some were even wearing sweatpants! I was so dressed up, even the guard greeted me with a warm smile and said "GOOD MORNING, MADAM." I emphasize that greeting because I don't get that a lot here in Saudi Arabia :-/. Looking at this outfit, I would think I was going to a meeting on fashion event and not about household stuff, lol.

Hi loves! Just a quick a post to greet all of you a happy valentine's day! This is the skirt I made (here) last week at the last minute. I almost did not make it in time to post today because of my busy week. We just moved to a new apartment and now I'm surrounded with boxes that are waiting for me to unload them. I'll see you next post! Thank you very much for the visit!

I must to admit this button-down shirt of mine has the most mileage in my closet. I've wore this chambray shirt like it's the only shirt I own (I don't know if you can tell by it's discoloration) :). For the most part, I've worn this shirt casually, running errands or going to the market. So, today I wanted this shirt to feel that she is special, and that's why I decided to highlight it. In short, give it a make over :). After seeing the result of this outfit I must say that I totally underestimated the wonders that it can do. Now my mission is to find a new chambray because this one is obviously almost ready to retire. How about you ladies, what's your favorite way to wear chambray?

Thank you very much for the visit! Have  a great weekend everyone!

Flannel + Camo

Hi loves! Okay, this post is has been in my drafts folder for so long that I almost forgot about it! This was when my family and I went for a road trip last month to Bahrain. From Riyadh to Bahrain, it is about a 4 1/2 hour drive. It's not our first time driving to Bahrain, we've been there a couple times before. Although there's not much to see while driving in the desert, I'm really amazed at the beauty of what is there. The different colors of the sand (there are at least four we saw) and beautiful sand dunes. We go to Bahrain when we have a long weekend just to unwind a little. We watch movies and do some other stuff that is normally not found or allowed in Saudi (you get the picture) :).

This is the causeway. Luckily, we are able to use the vip lane that takes less than 15mns to go through, compared to the regular lane that normally takes more than an hour (longer on the weekend).

After all the immigration processing at the border, there's a guy waiting for a hospitable, complimentary tea! I am not a tea lover so we usually just drive past.

On the way home, we were blessed to see this beautiful sunset. Don't you wish you had this view from your house? I surely do!

Thank you for the visit! Have a great week ahead everyone!
