I must to admit this button-down shirt of mine has the most mileage in my closet. I've wore this chambray shirt like it's the only shirt I own (I don't know if you can tell by it's discoloration) :). For the most part, I've worn this shirt casually, running errands or going to the market. So, today I wanted this shirt to feel that she is special, and that's why I decided to highlight it. In short, give it a make over :). After seeing the result of this outfit I must say that I totally underestimated the wonders that it can do. Now my mission is to find a new chambray because this one is obviously almost ready to retire. How about you ladies, what's your favorite way to wear chambray?

Thank you very much for the visit! Have  a great weekend everyone!

Vacation (Part 1)

Hi loves, I'm back! Before anything else I would like to greet everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope you had a great holiday and enjoyed being with family and friends.

I went to Guam for a vacation and family-visit a couple months ago, I just got back in Dec. These long overdue photos from my R&R are some of the activities my family and I did. There's quite a lot of pictures but I'm only showing half of it. Forgive me for the late update!  As you may know, coming from a vacation it is very difficult to get back into the swing of things (mostly if you had an awesome time). Going back to the kingdom is very hard for me especially because there's really nothing to look forward to during the holidays. Christmas has always been kept under wraps in Saudi. Expatriates had a holiday party but, that's about it. You can't really feel that there's a special season coming. Anyhow, I survived my first Christmas here in the kingdom! So, here I am reminiscing about my last vacay. Here are all pics, enjoy!

3 ways to wear (Shift Dress)

Hi, loves! I am back! First of all I wanted to thank all of you who wished me luck on my last post. Just a little update about my mom, she's doing fine now. Hopefully her papers will be complete before the end of the year. If all goes well, she will be staying with me for as long as she wants.

Any how, back to the focus of this blog! Since I was absent for a long time, I decided to make it up to you guys. Here's my 3 ways (I know it's been a while since the last one). To recap, the 3 ways is about how to take a single clothing item and maximize it into 3 different outfits. This post is for some of you planning to go vacation (like me). Since I'll be going to a city, I chose a shift dress that I can layer to accommodate different types of activities I am planning to do.

Outfit 1: Dress (out of stock) similar here Promod Skirt (Philippine brand) similar here Mango Sunnies Topshop Purse LV Sandals: Zara
First, I will probably check the local attractions. This mean lots of walking and pair of flat sandals is essential. And of course, you've got to protect those beautiful eyes from sun rays while checking out the local souvenir stores.

Outfit 2: Dress Promod Demin Vest & Purse Target Wedges similar here Mango Touch
Second, shopping, shopping and shopping did I say shopping yet? Yup, checking out the shopping places is a must :). On this one, because the dress is tiny bit body hugging, I added a denim vest and a pair of wedges to make the look casual and not too "sexy" for day time.

Outfit 3: Dress Promod Jacket (old) similar F21 Necklace flea market from Philippines Clutch DIY Shoes (old) similar here Zara
Third, of course if you're travelling with loved ones, a group of friends or, in my case, with Hubby, you have got to have a night out. To try the local restaurant, night club or whatever is the "night out" means for you. I added black jacket, black heels and because the rest of my outfit is simple I let the necklace do the statement.

There you go, one dress, 3 outfits. Remember, packing and outfit planning ahead of time is the key to making the trip easy and simple. How about you guys, how do you plan your outfits when traveling?

Thanks for visiting!

orange + white + leopard

Top- H&M Pants- Calvin Klein (similar here) Necklace- F21 Bracelets & Belt- Macy's Shoes- Nordstrom Bag- LV Monogram Canvas Neverfull MM

Hi lovelies! How are you guys today? I've been a fan of white pants because of their ability to modernize and freshen up summer outfits, but I'm always a bit scared to wear them. Well, it's because I don't know if I can pull it off, and I'm worried that they'll get stained even before I get out of the house (yes, I'm looking at you my 3 years old son!). Anyhow, thanks to pen bleach, just in case!. I have had these pants for a long time.  Last weekend was the first time I was brave enough to wear them :). For a relaxed vibe, I paired these pants with orange knitwear and leopard print accents.

By the way I just want to give you guys a heads up. I might not be able to post as much because of my family and I are busy getting ready to pack. We're moving to DC in the first week of September and after six months we'll be moving again somewhere in the world. Right now only God knows where my family and I going to be stationed! Although we don't know yet what country we're going to be in, I'm really taking it in a positive way. I'm excited to see different countries, meet new people and learn their cultures..and of course you guys will be able to see too because I'm going to blog about it :).  Cross your fingers for us that we get to go to a good country!

Oh and I've reached 200+ subscribers! Thank you very much for all your support! Xoxo
