Hello, loves! I just wanted to make a quick pose. I am doing a last minute pack for my families vacation trip to states. I literally only have a couple hours left to finish packing but I don't seem to have the concentration do it. So, I'm taking a break and blogging instead.

Anyhoo, I want you to introduce to my LWD (a.ka. Little White Dress). I got this dress from the last sale zara had (winter collection). It took me awhile to post this because when I bought the dress, it was two sizes bigger than my usual size. Last week I finally got a chance to mend it and do some alterations. What I like about this lwd is that it is just incredibly versatile, with the blank-canvas hue and a classic shape that will last for multiple seasons. I'll be able to dress up or down and accessorize this dress in a ton of different ways. Obviously, I added this to my luggage and I can't wait to re-style it!

Thank you for visiting!

Hi, loves! My family and I spent the weekend with some newly found friends. One of my husbands coworkers took us to see these unique creatures up close and personal. I have to confess that at first I judged them by their looks. I thought they would attack us for thinking we're intruders to their home/habitat but they were very calm. I was more concerned about my son falling off the cliffs where the baboons lived. I noticed it's only the mom baboons with their children that were aggressive. They kept their distance from us, though. These baboons seemed like they were already used to humans, as if they knew that we were there to bring food for them. They were pretty gentle as you can see in the pictures. My son handed an apple to one of them. We brought a lot food for them because we knew there were lots of them. I must say it was one of the better experiences I have had here in KSA so far.

Houndstooth is one of my favorite for the fall and winter trend. What I love about it is that it is a classic and timeless pattern. Although there are other colors are used on houndstooth on this look I stuck to most commonly used, the black and white. The next time I wear this kind of print I'll try to make many different styles (add some bright color perhaps).
I'm trying to cram in as many winter outfits as possible before spring officially hits. But, with the temperature almost in the 90s in Saudi, I think this will be the last time I'll be wearing layers. and maybe the last for winter trends too? I could use some snow right now! anyone willing to send me some, any body? :D.

Thank you very much for the visit and I wish you all a great week ahead!

Here in KSA, the winter season feels like spring weather some places in the states. The temperature is warm and it is dry, ranging from 50-80 degress with a slight breeze. That's why I love this kind of outfit. Bare legs, but I can add a blazer depending on how it feels outside. For this weather, I matched it with yellow. For me, nothing says "springtime" like this yellow skirt :).

I must to admit this button-down shirt of mine has the most mileage in my closet. I've wore this chambray shirt like it's the only shirt I own (I don't know if you can tell by it's discoloration) :). For the most part, I've worn this shirt casually, running errands or going to the market. So, today I wanted this shirt to feel that she is special, and that's why I decided to highlight it. In short, give it a make over :). After seeing the result of this outfit I must say that I totally underestimated the wonders that it can do. Now my mission is to find a new chambray because this one is obviously almost ready to retire. How about you ladies, what's your favorite way to wear chambray?

Thank you very much for the visit! Have  a great weekend everyone!

Vacation (Part 1)

Hi loves, I'm back! Before anything else I would like to greet everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope you had a great holiday and enjoyed being with family and friends.

I went to Guam for a vacation and family-visit a couple months ago, I just got back in Dec. These long overdue photos from my R&R are some of the activities my family and I did. There's quite a lot of pictures but I'm only showing half of it. Forgive me for the late update!  As you may know, coming from a vacation it is very difficult to get back into the swing of things (mostly if you had an awesome time). Going back to the kingdom is very hard for me especially because there's really nothing to look forward to during the holidays. Christmas has always been kept under wraps in Saudi. Expatriates had a holiday party but, that's about it. You can't really feel that there's a special season coming. Anyhow, I survived my first Christmas here in the kingdom! So, here I am reminiscing about my last vacay. Here are all pics, enjoy!

3 ways to wear (Shift Dress)

Hi, loves! I am back! First of all I wanted to thank all of you who wished me luck on my last post. Just a little update about my mom, she's doing fine now. Hopefully her papers will be complete before the end of the year. If all goes well, she will be staying with me for as long as she wants.

Any how, back to the focus of this blog! Since I was absent for a long time, I decided to make it up to you guys. Here's my 3 ways (I know it's been a while since the last one). To recap, the 3 ways is about how to take a single clothing item and maximize it into 3 different outfits. This post is for some of you planning to go vacation (like me). Since I'll be going to a city, I chose a shift dress that I can layer to accommodate different types of activities I am planning to do.

Outfit 1: Dress (out of stock) similar here Promod Skirt (Philippine brand) similar here Mango Sunnies Topshop Purse LV Sandals: Zara
First, I will probably check the local attractions. This mean lots of walking and pair of flat sandals is essential. And of course, you've got to protect those beautiful eyes from sun rays while checking out the local souvenir stores.

Outfit 2: Dress Promod Demin Vest & Purse Target Wedges similar here Mango Touch
Second, shopping, shopping and shopping did I say shopping yet? Yup, checking out the shopping places is a must :). On this one, because the dress is tiny bit body hugging, I added a denim vest and a pair of wedges to make the look casual and not too "sexy" for day time.

Outfit 3: Dress Promod Jacket (old) similar F21 Necklace flea market from Philippines Clutch DIY Shoes (old) similar here Zara
Third, of course if you're travelling with loved ones, a group of friends or, in my case, with Hubby, you have got to have a night out. To try the local restaurant, night club or whatever is the "night out" means for you. I added black jacket, black heels and because the rest of my outfit is simple I let the necklace do the statement.

There you go, one dress, 3 outfits. Remember, packing and outfit planning ahead of time is the key to making the trip easy and simple. How about you guys, how do you plan your outfits when traveling?

Thanks for visiting!

extreme happiness

Shirt- Zara (similar here) Coat- Thrifted Jeans- Old Navy Shoes- Steve Madden Necklace- Gift

Hoorayyy!!! I am Extremely happy, just like my shirt says! :D It's already February! Meaning it's Amor month...I mean LOVE month! :). Do you guys have any plans this coming Valentines day? As for me, My husband and I are planning to celebrate Valentines at home, just like last year. Our last valentines, I surprised my husband with a candle light dinner and cooked his favorite food. This year we're going to do the same, the only difference is I'm not going to surprise him anymore. He actually surprised me the other day saying he wanted to do what we did last year, but this time he's going to HELP to set up everything. Boy! last year was tough, it was last minute changes and it's my first time giving him a surprise dinner. I was going crazy decorating the dining room because I wanted to make the room look "romantic-y" (not that my husband cares about those things, it's just my preference). Cooking was a bit of a challenge for me because I'm not much of a cook, but I'm thankful to my best friend GOOGLE for always being there for me :). Seeing my hubby's reaction was priceless and all the hard work that day was worth it. We enjoyed our dinner while our "theme" song was playing at the background and we had an amazing night. What about you guys, what was your last years valentines story?

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!
